Hi Sarge, Not quite the "USS PRINCETON LPH-5" That I served on as "Ships Company" Parachute Rigger in the V-6 Division "Flight Equipment Shop/"Para-Loft!!!" But she will do in a Pinch!!! Note !! the Photo!! That point most fwd starboard on the "Sweet Pea" was a "Catwalk!!!!" Out at sea we would go up there and sit on the walk and watch the bow cut the water like it's doing there... then look straight down to that murky black with the nearest land 5 miles away....straight DOWN!!!!!!!' AAAAARgh Matie!! Art though a "SHELLBACK?????" 27SEP1968!!!!!!!!! Nuff said!! If we went across again, me an my old shipmate Harold Smith from w.Va. would have to flip a coin to see who would get to be Neptunis Rex and Davey Jones!!! I went across twice on the "Sweet Pea with Harold and again on the USS OKINAWA LPH-3 in May of 1970. for a total of 3 crossings!! skybill-out PS I have pictures of those "Catwalk Daze!!!!!"
