We put some chains on a pretty Syrian child
Her hair was pinned up and it hurt her eyes
She cried out for Mommy and then she just hung there
Was she surprised? Yeah
Were we surprised? No not at all


And when this child dies we celebrate–no mourning
Hell opens to our eyes we see blood stains
And something strange within says
“Go ahead and kill more, open your eyes, yeah
Open your eyes and kill some more”
