The Jews, introduced "Ethical Monotheism" into the world. And part of what that does is forbid the institutions of man to claim ultimate authority over men and their lives.

 This fundamental proscription is utterly antithetical to every tyrant, dictator, religious extremist, false prophet, god-king, and Utopian.

 They believe in God. And they act like it.

 They hold their belief in GOD primary, a part of the very definition of who they are. And this threatens the hell out of wanna be tyrants, who hate them for it.
