Springfield 1873 Trapdoor Pistol
Much cleaner conversion of an 1873 Trapdoor rifle into a pistol. I’m not 100% sure on the legal status of these conversions. According to some people who have looked into it, the BATFE still views a firearm an antique if the receiver was manufactured before 1/1/1899. It doesn’t have a stock so you can’t really shoulder it, but there is that debate on some forums that “once a rifle, always a rifle”. I’d double check with the BATFE for absolute confirmation before trying to turn an antique rifle into a pistol
