I was too young to go to Vietnam .... I missed it by about a year .... thank God, but I got to do this for three years at FTCKY without the bullets flying. I can tell you for a fact .... nothing will pucker you up faster than flying 70 mph. in formation on the deck or treetop at nite with the running lites out !
One more thing, Out of all the people I ever met in the Army I have more respect for Huey pilots than anybody else !

I missed my turn "in-country" cause I was Honorably Discharged just before the shit hit the fan in 1965.
I lost a few friends thanks to Vietnam. Several in-country and more many years later from "Agent Orange" induced cancer.
I look where all the former sacrifices that were made and where they have led us to in 2016 and I sadly shake my head.
But I unfailingly say: God Bless All Those who willingly stood up, answered the call and defended America for whatever reason.
