I normally don't respond to anonymous comments, this time I'm gonna make an exception.
"If I may, I'm an avid reader and fan of your website. I'm also a Jersey Trooper. I say it with pride since I've been serving for 22 years and I'm a US Navy vet that served in the 80's under Reagan right out of high school. We, the Jersey Troopers are a proud bunch with a rich history of tradition and values that all started with badge #1 belonging to H. Norman Schwarzkopf. You may have heard of his son. Our uniforms were designed by him and modeled after elements of the US Army. Anyway, I just thought you should know we are not Nazis."
Sir I live in the Great State of Florida. I am an eight year veteran of The United States Army. I also have a concealed weapons LICENSE issued by this state.
I took the oath for the first time at the age of seventeen back in 1972.
Since you say you were in the US Navy and you are a NJ Trooper you must have taken that oath at least twice.
In case you have forgotten that sacred oath starts off with the following words ....
"I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same"
Are you aware that I cannot legally go anywhere on the east coast north of the state of Virginia without abdicating my God given right to my own self defense guaranteed to me by the second amendment.
I can't even visit the very capital of my country.
I'm not an articulate man when it comes to writing, and I am just about done with this rant, but I will leave you with this....
When you start honoring your oath and quit obeying unlawful orders I will never call you anything but a Patriot ever again !

Nah, they still look like German or Prussian Officer uniforms, the only elements of US Army may be that they are uniforms and only uniforms. My tick that burrows me is the campaign ribbons the po po wear, where they ever on the beaches of Normandie? Slugging through the jungles of Iwo Jima, splashing the rice paddies of Viet Nam? What are the for? How many donuts that can be consumed?
