I was amused by reading about a loony-leftie in Austin, Texas

“I’m at the breaking point,” said Gretchen Gardner, an Austin artist who bought a 1930s bungalow in the Bouldin neighborhood just south of downtown in 1991 and has watched her property tax bill soar to $8,500 this year.  “It’s not because I don’t like paying taxes,” said Gardner, who attended both meetings. “I have voted for every park, every library, all the school improvements, for light rail, for anything that will make this city better. But now I can’t afford to live here anymore. I’ll protest my appraisal notice, but that’s not enough. Someone needs to step in and address the big picture.”  So let me see if I have this right.  This woman votes for every spending program but then is shocked – shocked! – when the bill comes due?

    That idiot woman has exactly the attitude that made Austin the most leftist city in Texas. I used to live in San Antonio and they aren't much better. Funny how all the state capitals seem to attract the leftist crowd. I guess whether the government check is welfare or employment those who receive them become bought and paid for leftist democrats.

    I live in Austin. Living here, you quickly understand just how LIE-berals have absolutely no concept of logic, reason or facts!!!!!

    The LIE-berals have run this city for years. It's like a mini-California here. Our tax rates have risen out the roof over the last decade, which is driving all the middle class and below out of the city. They simply can't afford to live here any more. Then the Limousine LIE-berals scream about how President Trump and the "evil Republicans" don't care about poor people and are ruining their lives.

    The total lack of logic is painful to watch!!!
