I know there is a problem with this blog.
I have 3 browsers installed on this computer and the only one with problems is Chrome.
Last nite I re-installed Windows and still have the problem. I have gone over every line of code in the template twice and I can't find anything added or out of place.
and yes I ran Win Defender and Malwarebytes {the paid for version}
and nothing !
Anybody got any ideas ?

Yeah, I started having problems with your site about 4 or 5 days ago I think. It will redirect to a different site only when I use Chrome. I am no help because I know almost nothing about blogs and programming

Sarge, I can't really help unless you're MUCH more specific about the problems. I don't run chrome and I'm not seeing anything different from usual, except for one missing post.
However, I can tell you that the problem almost certainly isn't on your computer, it's either on the server that hosts your website or in the blog software you use. So those steps you mentioned won't help, since they only check your machine, not the machine that hosts the blog.
I'm not familiar with the details of your interface, but I'd recommend either opening a support ticket with customer service or else posting a message to the blog owner's forum that should be accessible from your admin "dashboard" (the same place you set u your blog and check your stats). Those are generally the fastest ways to get help. Be as specific about your problems as possible, otherwise they're just going to have to respond with a bunch of questions.
I usually visit about once a week but I'll make a point of stopping back here within 24 hours to read your reply in case you have other questions.

Sarge, I also know less than nothing about blogs, but what I do know is building computers. I've been building my own PC's for over twenty years. And one thing I have found is that I can not get Win 10 to work right no matter what I do or try. I have decided to scrap my last build, throw away the $$$ I spent on Win 10 Pro and spend more $$$$ on a fresh copy of Win 7 Pro. Perhaps I should have seen the writing on the wall when the "latest and greatest" Windows operating system cost LESS than the older system when it first came out (and still does cost less by the way).
I hope this helps, I enjoy your Blog and hope you can find the fixes you need.

Sarge, I'm an old computer dope. I only know how to turn my 10 year old Dell Lap Top on, running Windows 7 home Premium and use Windows Explorer 11. Can't get any less up-to-date than that. I haven't seen any problems with your site recently but I've seen some comments on other sites. I do use FireFox for my Google emails and have found I have trouble accessing my mailbox almost every time, but I don't think that has anything to do with your situation. Good luck with your situation.

Man, I thought it was me. I mostly use Chrome then I started getting this odd stuff so I tried using my IE browser an I get you.

The only thing I can think of is you do not post enough of nice ass photos. Just kidding. Believe 6:45 is right on track.

MSG Grumpy 6:49, 6:45 here, hoping you'll see this. I agree that Win 10 sucks but if you PAID for Win 10 Pro then don't scrap it. You CAN make it work by downloading all of the updates and making sure to reboot it regularly, at least weekly.
If you're gonna scrap it anyway, then for sure don't give them any more of your money, go with another OS. It might be a bit more work to learn something new, but there are some really easy UNIX builds out there now. Since MS haven't come out with a decent build since XP, there's no reason to reward them with more money.
---
Bogside and John and all, whatever you do, pick something OTHER than IE. There are lots of decent choices out there besides IE and Chrome. Almost no reason to ever use either one of them!

FWIW, I am using Chrome Version 68.0.3440.106 (Official Build) (64-bit), running Win 10 and have no trouble with your site. Also, I dumped Norton in favor of Kaspersky. Really enjoy your blog - keep up the great work!

Sarge...dump Windows. Down load a free version of Linux. It can be installed easily as a dual boot with windows. It's free. It comes with Firefox browser. It comes with its own version of MS Office. It can run Windows apps if you insist. I have Linux Mint 16 on both my PC and laptop for several years now. I no longer have to pay Bill Gates a dime. I no longer worry about being hacked.

Brave is a fairly decent browser. It's Firefox without the luggage, much faster and does not lock up at odd intervals. Chrome? Fuck Google.

Hi Sarge,
4 or 5 days ago I also have started having problems, I solved it by putting https instead of http, this means it is a server problem, but widget server you are using is also having a problem.
It now says domain for sale. this may be a hack or it is really forsale.
The domain widgetserver.com is for sale. To purchase, call Afternic.com at +1 781-373-6847 or 855-201-2286. Click here for more details.

I have problems with FireFox, it redirects to a blank page with the URL WidgetServer. The site works with the Avast SafeZone browser which appears to be based on Chrome. I haven't tried it with Chrome however. The issue started about 4 or 5 days ago, I hadn't updated FireFox or added any extensions. So it must be on your end. I think there was another website that was having the same problem. But other blogspot sites work fine.
-
Ok, I just hand typed your URL into FireFox using https:// and the site loaded fine (no redirect). So I deleted the old URL and bookmarked the new one.
-
I figured out the problem Sarge. I was gonna suggest checking your htaccess file for redirects and noticed that the widget server URL had a token for 'best credit cards' so it looks like one of the ads or widgets on your site is the problem (malvertising). That's why the Avast safe zone browser works, it blocks ads and redirects.

Sarge, 6:45 checking in as promised. Unfortunately, still not enough details posted to help you definitively. Good luck and thanks for your blog!

The other day, while I was at work, my cousin stole my iPad and tested to see if it can survive a 25 foot drop, just so she can be a youtube sensation. My apple ipad is now destroyed and she has 83 views. I know this is totally off topic but I had to share it with someone!

Very descriptive article, I loved that bit. Will there be a part 2?
