The new ECH (Enhanced Combat Helmet) is just coming into service. Made by Revison, the new BATLSKIN™ protects more than the head having a mandible that protects the chin and jaw area. In addition a visor is available to protect the eyes from blast fragments and environmental conditions. The helmet is lighter than previous helmets used by the US. The mandible comes in several different configuration for various combat missions.
